Hello Parents!
Hello, I'm Mia, and I'm absolutely thrilled to be your child's 3rd grade teacher this year! I'll be teaching English to the wonderful students in 301 Adv. and 302 Reg., and will also be responsible for Math and Science in the 301 Homeroom.
I completed my education at the University of Pretoria in South Africa, and I earned a master's degree in Children's Education. With 14 years of teaching experience under my belt, my passion for education continues to burn bright. This will be my fourth year at Lih-Jen, and I'm eagerly looking forward to getting to know each and every one of the children and spending the upcoming year together.
I believe in tailoring my teaching methods and approaches to meet the unique needs and learning goals of my students across different subjects. I am always open to incorporating new teaching strategies that benefit my students' learning, and I strive to make the learning process enjoyable and engaging. While I do hold high expectations for manners and responsibilities, it is because I firmly believe that kindness, politeness, and responsibility are qualities that will greatly benefit students throughout their lives.
To foster effective communication, I regularly share teaching resources on the class blog, and I warmly welcome open lines of communication between parents and myself. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to me. You can write in the communication book or even send me a text message using the contact information provided. I promise to respond as promptly as possible.
I'm truly excited about the upcoming school year and all the fun and exciting learning experiences that await us! Looking forward to meeting you and your child soon!
Yours sincerely,
Ms. Mia
